Many people have tried Super C scented and unscented valve oil, and other products.
Here are some testimonials others have written about us...

Chris Chance, another band director highly recommended you.
I am also a band director and the Super C is absolutely fantastic!!

BAND DIRECTOR IN MORRISTOWN, TN

Sirs- I've been playing trumpet since 1961, and up until a year ago have played my Olds Ambassador, Opera C and Mendez models exclusively. Since then I've added a Schilke X3 and Conn V1 to the stable. As a retired mechanical engineer, the form follows function ideal has always been first in my mind. It seems that the market has been flooded over the years with "gimmick" valve oils and the majority of them don't perform like the "old school" formulas. Well, in my professional opinion, this is not the case with the Super C! This oil has superior wetting properties, shear resistance, and resistance to temperature differentials than the majority of these so called "high end" oils on the market. We know how fussy Monel pistons are compared to Nickel plated pistons. I used Super C on a brand new Conn V1 and I was totally amazed with how fast the pistons broke in! On a new horn with this material, just remember to clean the pistons and casings daily for a week- and DON'T FORGET TO APPLY YOUR SUPER C OIL!!! Once the pistons are broken in, I've found that a weekly oiling is all it takes with Super C.
Thanks for an honest product at a reasonable price!

Sincerely- Tim Whalen, Zeus Engineering & Development Bay City, MI and Ft. Myers, FL

I wanted to take some time to comment and evaluate the samples of valve oil you sent me.
In this experiment there were trumpets of various vintages and many different playing venues.
I first used the oil directly over the top of my commercial horn to see if it would blend with the existing oil without cleaning the casings. Your oil proved to mix without any issues on a Yamaha 6335 HMSV. This horn is used in many outdoor venues and indoor pits alike. A drastic contrast due to the high heat and humidity in south Florida and sitting on the trumpet stand during breaks of many commercial dates in the air conditioning. All with phenominal results.

I then used it on my Schilke P54 piccolo trumpet. Again, wothout cleaning it first.
It proved to be fast, light and efficient with longer than average lubrication.
When I used your oil in my 15 season old Bach C trumpet, the results were even better! This instrument is used mostly on weekends with chamber orchestras, weddings, and church services. While using Super C oil, it has not been uncommon to pick this horn up and play it without re-oiling it for a few weeks at a time. I also gave some of your oil to John Moore, principle trumpet of the opera and ballet orchestra. John reported these same results on his C trumpet, which is his primary instrument.

I have a demanding schedule and only clean my horns about every two months or when needed. Many club dates include eating on the break set, or eating in the car on the way to another job. This is not the greatest thing thing for any instrument, but I am forced to do so.
Your oils were not affected by these conditions.

My favorite oil to use in tight precision orchestra horns has for some time been "Music Chem" pro oil 147a hybrid. However, the horn must be absolutely clean without any other brand of residual oil or it will not work. "Blue Juice" has been a staple for me in every other situation. "Blue Juice", in my opinion is certainly not the fastest oil, just consistent when things are not super clean. My Herald trumpets are used in conditions my the ocean, and at yacht clubs to fanfare the dignitaries. This has been a problem in the past with other oils, besides "Blue Juice". After a thorough cleaning on the trumpets I use the most, the results were even better with Super C and I had longer oiling intervals.
Even over my favorite brands!

Now, with all that said, I must comment on a few things I noticed in the last few months. First, it is evident that there are no concerns with any corrosive activity from using your Super C oil. This is the biggest reason I do not test many oils given to me. Especially the synthetics. Music Chem hubrid 147a was given to me whn I lef Maynard Ferguson's band, but it was already being used by many people at the time.
Your peppermint oil is probably the best scent when the horns have been enclosed in the case on the way to a job and it is 105 degrees in the trunk. Then, you open up your case on the bandstand. I actually prefer the unscented oil best.

Thanks for all of the oils!

"This stuff lasts a really long time! I use a lot less of this than Al Cass.
I'll be back for more."

Here is a product from the USA that I have used on my own instruments and I thouroughly recommend it. Super C Valve Oil. I got fed up with that musty old smell everytime I opened my case so I bought some and guess what? That musty smell has gone for good replaced by a more attractive fruity scent. But it wouldn't be any good if it smelt good but didn't work as well as my $18 oil. Well it does work as well maybe better. I have both a new yamaha and old vintage instruments and it works flawlessly on all. In fact the yamaha was not yet blown in and would stick sometimes on the third valve so I was thinking of taking it back. But after using this oil it seems to be working fine. I am not a shop, just an enthusiast and I have some of these to sell. The product is endorsed by professionals and has been used for some time in the States but I couldn't find it here so I imported the minimum amount I could. It works so good that I probably won't use more than half a bottle in 2 years so I can afford to let some go.

Just the right amount of scent. The quality is super.
It is not necessary to smell like a refinery to get great valve oil.
A great scent in winter. A great valve oil all year around.

I am writing to you in regard to the Super C Powerful Citrus Brasswind Horn Cleaning Soap.

I recently purchased an early 1960's King Trombonium. The instrument had been sitting in someone's basement for more then 2 decades. The horn had a large amount on scum, mold, rotten old grease and oil throughout the entire horn. It was not only dirty, It smelled horrendous as well. The upper and lower valve caps took a good part of a day to remove with the help of some penetrating oil and a rubber strap wrench. The slides had to be heated with a hair drier to loosen up enough to remove. I was not sure how I was going to get the horn clean without damaging the lacquer and brass. The normal cleaning products I use would not be strong enough to clean up the horn. I was very hesitant to use solvent based, Strong acid or Alkali based cleaning products that may damage the brass and lacquer or leave chemical residue that could be harmful. After doing some research on the Internet, I came across your Super C Powerful Citrus Brasswind Horn Cleaning Soap and ordered two bottles.

This was the first time I used the Super C Powerful Citrus Brasswind Horn Cleaning Soap and was unsure how well it would work. I placed the disassembled Trombonium in a 5-gallon bucket and filled it with lukewarm water and ¼ bottle of Super C Powerful Citrus Brasswind Horn Cleaning Soap. The horn was left to soak for 2 hours. After that, I went to work on it with a set of nylon hand brushes and a snake brush. I used the soap in full concentration with the brushes. I was very surprised at how well the soap worked. Every bit of scum, mold and grease came off without damaging the metal or lacquer. Additionally, the foul order was completely removed. I found the Super C Powerful Citrus Brasswind Horn Cleaning Soap to be both safe and very effective. It is a wonderful product and one I plan on using a lot more of.

The product worked so on the horn, my wife decided to try some in her ultrasonic cleaner to clean a piece of jewelry that she was making. After polishing the silver bracelet with red rouge compound she placed the bracelet in the ultrasonic cleaner with a mixture of 1 part Super C Powerful Citrus Brasswind Horn Cleaning Soap to 1 part water, 50% concentration. After 10 minutes all of the rouge compound and residue was gone and the bracelet was clean and bright. She has since used the soap in lower concentrations and found it to work just as good. Maybe as low as 1 part soap to 9 parts water or 10% concentration will work well in the cleaning of jewelry metals for soaking or ultrasonic cleaning. I do not know if you have considered selling the soap for this but she has found that it works well and really likes that it is a very safe product to use.

Thank You,
